Works perfectly! for audio and video accessories

It worked GREAT connecting our old slingbox. It has component plugs and our new cable box only had HDMI. Works great although the blue power light illuminates our entire bedroom wall. I had to seal it with duct tape so I could sleep at night. 😊

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • Quality

Works but DVD copy protection works

Converter works for my PS3 application but goes black when playing DVDs. I've tried it on a TV with RGB inputs and it seems to work fine there. Using a composite to HDMI converter doesn't disable copy protection either, but this RGB to HDMI converter does. Blue LEDs are terrible for dark environments, so don't. Otherwise there is no color shift as in the composite field.

Pros
  • Finally bought it
Cons
  • Definitely a bad product

Exactly what we needed! Works perfectly. This device .

What you need! Works perfectly. This device ACCEPT (ie inputs) HDMI and WILL TRANSMIT (ie outputs) Red-Blue-Green Component Video and RCA Red-White Audio. It's irreversible. I used this to install a new XBOX360 that didn't have a component output compatible with our existing video projection system. The old XBOX360 had a dedicated component cable for the connector, but the new one didn't. I didn't want to redo our entire video system and this adapter did the trick. I also received it very…

Worked great for a while but sometimes needs to be turned off.

A nearby lightning strike disabled the HDMI ports on my Toshiba TV. I bought it instead of replacing the TV. It worked great for the first year, but now I have to turn on the power a few times a week. It usually happens when I turn on the TV. It's less common to just start while I'm watching. In this case, the image and sound remain static. If I turn the converter off and on again, everything works again. I've also noticed that this sometimes happens when Xfinity is doing a nightly update. I've

The TV works perfectly and is in the guest room

It just doesn't work - not at all. Actually install the item or I would try to return it (I've returned to Revain maybe 1 item in 7 years so I'm not a serial criminal). I have an old TV - Sony circa 1995. The TV works well and is in the guest room so it is not used very often. It doesn't have an HMDI connector, but it does have plenty of RCA inputs. I wanted to connect a Fire Stick so guests could watch Netflix during their stay. I've tried a thousand times and it just doesn't work. Not with a…

It works, but not right out of the box.

I wanted to share my experience with this product. This model doesn't have a frequency selector knob, so I'm assuming it's using the transmitted frequency and not "auto tuning" to the component you're trying to view the image from. The reason I bought this unit was because my HDMI input failed on my plasma TV and the Samsung J5500W home theater only has an HDMI output. When I first connected it to my Samsung J5500W home theater all I saw was no signal (blue screen). I came back here, read the…

Eureka! This HDMI to component converter works for Roku!

Our TV in the guest room is a 2010 version with audio inputs up to HDMI and video inputs up to 720p (DVI or component inputs). Has and still makes a great picture! Previously, this TV was connected to a cable TV set-top box. through the component cables. Never had a problem. We just got rid of the cable and moved to Roku in the house (including a live TV subscription to access the channels). Long story short, I needed to output video and audio from Roku Express. (with HDMI input) to the TV and…

Pros
  • A/V Accessories
Cons
  • Some little things

It works great BUT here's a way to avoid the hour it took me to finally get it working: My goal was to use my old Panasonic TH-42PA20 TV with to a Sony Streaming Blu-Ray BDP S390, so I need this HDMI to component converter. On the first connection, this converter did not work - there are a lot of lines on the screen. This showed me that the digital signal was not properly converted. <<insert troubleshooting hour here>> So two important things solved the problem: 1) I thought to see…
