Superb trolling motor fork

is available. I have a problem with the trolling motor connectors. They kept falling out and losing power to my trolling motor. I have changed both the plug and socket 3 times. This fork has a locking feature which I think will work. Easy to install and made with quality components including a very good cable lock.

Pros
  • Alright!
Cons
  • Update

Good product, looks professional, hard wearing.

Item was exactly as described. Easy to follow instructions, it was up and running in about 30 minutes with cables attached. Looks like he came on a boat. The connector feels solid and waterproof. For a male connector, do not strip the wires before passing the wires through the outer cover. Trolling motor cables are thick and strong. Will be updated if necessary.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Negative gift

Removed from my boat - no offer to buy

Removed from my boat - not recommended to buy. The plug is rated for 50+ amps, we both installed this plug, I've had no problems with mine other than the metal connection rusting in the salt water atmosphere - inferior components are used. His connector got hot where the wires connected, the internal metal pieces fell apart completely, resulting in a loose connection, and the connector failed. Chinese scrap - could cause a fire and definitely won't withstand high currents.

Pros
  • Stable test results
Cons
  • No performance

It wasn't long before the socket was installed. But the fork, damn fork, was so tight that I broke it trying to take it apart. It says to pull the pin/connector to secure the wire from the rubber case. Good luck with it! It's so tight that I broke it, so is there any means other than fingers to separate the two pieces. It's also well made and I bought a second one as soon as I figured out how to take it apart.

Pros
  • Trial period for one year
Cons
  • Not bad

A good product. When he arrives on the beat.

I would rate it higher but I was extremely unimpressed when my original review was deleted and the first product arrived broken. With my first delivery I received a defective device. The plastic on the inside of the connector that holds the wires in place was broken. They replaced me quickly and for free, so I was happy about that. For the price, the device is worth the money. I'm just really surprised to see the first review removed after finding a broken/damaged product.

Pros
  • A sea of positive emotions
Cons
  • High price

Quality Rating Best on Outboards

I bought two to use the trolling motor in the front or rear of the Pelican Bass Raider depending on my setup for the day. There was a wire clamp in one socket that broke off immediately when tightening the screw. And you need to tighten it enough or the wire will pull out of the socket easily. The other connections on that outlet and my second outlet, as well as the plug, were fine. It was just a poor quality terminal. The cheap clamp they use is slick and has no way of grabbing the wire other…
