💡 M-PowerPoint 2Point Mk2 Review

It seems pretty solid except for the cheap plastic handles where (the photo clearly shows the metal handles). Had I known this was the case I would have paid the extra money and bought an all metal model (which should have been this one) that matches the item's photo.

For the most part it's a great tool and a big time saver. It's pretty self-explanatory in its use. Like many others, I discovered this tool while watching Izzy Swan's videos (thanks Izzy! You're the best!), so I knew exactly what to expect. The only criticism is the title. I would never have found it without the link to the video I saw. The main image shows the packaging and is therefore difficult to discern when looking at it. Shame. This is really useful stuff.

Great tool if you don't care about precision between dots. It's literally off by 1/8 inch by 12 inches. It doesn't snap at all and the two outer legs seem to think for themselves. As a skilled carpenter I would suggest using a tape measure or even a stone. A very imprecise point. If it really latched, I would hardly trust it with a task as simple as marking dowels. Clearly not a professional instrument. I'll make my own or just do what works. Accurate measurements

I've been waiting to review this product. I tried and tried to get this to work as I needed to build some hangers. If I have to check the distance with a tape measure, then the product is unusable for the intended use for me. I really wanted this to fix the problem and it failed over and over again. I've read a number of reviews criticizing the accuracy of this tool. And no, it's not exact. But for my needs of basically providing enough precision for the unaided human eye to think that some things are evenly distributed in a given space, this works well. If I need a thousandth of an accuracy, I will use one or more more appropriate tools. My only complaint is the design of the handles and the handles themselves. I love this concept it can really save you time until you check the measurements and realize they are almost 1/4 customs differ. I read the included cap-to-cap instructions, follow the instructions to slide further than necessary, then slowly slide them together to the desired point. Very disappointed. I was so excited when I saw this product on Pinterest that I ordered it straight away. I imagined all the projects I could do with it once I got it but felt it was a piece of junk and a waste of money. The item I received was NOT the advertised product. M-Power P2P and Trend M/P2P are ABSOLUTELY THE SAME! Even the packaging is identical, only the paper inserts differ between the brands. Buy the cheapest version of these two and you will be happy.
