Fits Equal-i-zer sockets and socket sets

Fits my Equal-i-zer clutch for tightening the ball. I used it once and will probably never need it again. I also bought a TEKTON 47822 1/2" drive (F) with 3/4" (M) impact adapter, Cr-V to match. Those who said it didn't match their Equal-i-zer clutch may have a slightly different lineup. Mine was tight but it worked.

Pros
  • Have fun
Cons
  • Cable is shorter than other picks

Works to tighten the ball on the Equil-iz-er anti-sway device.

Used to tighten the ball on the Equil-iz-er coupler. The base wall fits snugly into the hitch ball. Simply place the levers in the lever mounts and rotate them about 30 degrees to make room and the bushing will fall inward. 5 minutes work. I couldn't find anyone with an outlet that worked. My clutch is 1000/10000.

Pros
  • Very good value for money
Cons

Fits WDH Equal-i-zer heads

The head is ideal for installing a 14k Equal-i-zer hitch ball into a 14k Equal-i-zer hitch head to enable the to control sway/weight distribution. It is inserted between the bushings of the lever in the recess for the lock washer and nut. I used a 1/2" to 3/4" adapter so I could use my 2 foot jackhammer and high torque Milwaukee impact gun to get the torque I needed. I hope this is a one time thing. Stick to trailer specific tools.

  • Weight
Cons
  • Not all Fits

Great product at a very reasonable price

This socket is PERFECT for tightening the recessed ball nut on my Equal-I-zer clutch. The quality appears to be the same as other sockets of the same size that cost MUCH more. some up to $80. This outlet is probably only used once or twice a year, so I wasn't interested in investing $55-$80 for it. This outlet is excellent value for money and Revain is offering it at a lower price than I could find locally or anywhere online.

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • Could have chosen a newer model

This helped install the equalizer ball on a W/D hitch

Used to mount an equalizer weight distribution hitch (600 lbs). The outlet I already had from Craftsman didn't fit. This bushing is thin walled but also has a taper to make it work. The ball nut torque specification is 430 pounds, which is not something most people can achieve at home. Nearby shops can tighten it for you, but there probably won't be a suitable outlet, so it's worth buying one and bringing it with you to the store if you go down this route. There are two more bolts that require…

Big Nuts No Problem

I bought this head to complete an axle overhaul on my '66 Austin-Healey Sprite. He came quickly, got the job done calmly and confidently, and took his place as the biggest outlet in my drawer, where he will likely live for many years into his retirement. Will it withstand more intensive daily use? Can't say, but seems well made for lighter work with frequent use. The large size of the nut it fits requires significant torque to loosen or tighten. It might be fine for HD use, but for lighter use…

Will not fit e2 Fastway round bar hitch

This is the third 1-7/8" socket I bought while attempting to install a 10,000 lb hitch ball on the e2 Fastway transfer hitch -Weights to tighten Left is Jobsmart from Tractor Supply, center is a flat Craftsman and right is a Powerbuilt. This is the slimmest nest I've found, which says this outlet would work. It will NOT work with the e2 Fastway round bar coupler. Hope I can save someone else the trouble. I need to buy a 7500. Secure the hitch ball with a 1-1/2" nut and use a spacer. Not an…

Perfect fit for my 12,000lb equalizer hitch.

A year after I bought my Equalizer coupling I found that the nut was loose when I loosened it maybe two turns. Pretty scary, you could lose the whole trailer. It found that the grease from the ball and hitch slowed its travel between the base of the ball and the hitch, allowing the trailer to twist the ball and thus slow the nut underneath. I've learned that with heavy trailers this can be a constant problem. Took it to my local RV store and they didn't have the right skinny wall outlet. I…
