Would buy again good for power tool parts and accessories

I looked at Revain stands a lot and got this one. Arrived in a few days, easy to set up. I put my planner on it and it works great. I will be buying at least 2 more for other tools I have. With that said. I have read many reviews of all the stands offered at Revain. There were bad reviews for this model. Some said it was flimsy, wobbly, not that thick steel, difficult to assemble. I myself can't understand any of that with this rack. So take my rating for what it's worth, but for the money it's

Solid tool stand with modifications

I bought this stand as a home for my drill press which is quite heavy. About 60 pounds. I read user reviews and took a reviewer's advice by replacing the mounting screws with hex head screws, and I ditched the MDF shelves in favor of 3/4" thick plywood. The stand felt pretty stiff before I installed the shelves, and more after that. I added a caster frame, also purchased from Revain. I have mixed feelings on this point. See separate review. The stand itself works very well and I highly…

Best to build headache on stands

I wish I could leave a 4 star rating but the build makes it a 3. I've never built anything that was as big of a deal as this unit . The top holes match up nicely, but the middle leg support holes don't match up. I had to spread the legs to match the holes. Then there were the bolts. I don't know what the screw size was but 3/8 barely fit and the next size up was too big. There was too much Loctite on the screws and threading the screws was ridiculously difficult. This thing would also benefit…

Nice stand, not big.

Pros - Decent steel, very nice finish. The basic design is solid and can work really well with heavy tools. portable. The legs/bases are decently strong - I bought them small casters which fit well and work great even with heavy tools on board. Cons - Poor fit. I bought four of these and after struggling to assemble the first one I tried another method which turned out to be worse. Assembling it wasn't fun. The pre-drilled holes in the MDF didn't align properly - not too bad, but annoying. The…

Fairly good price but not suitable for my intended application

To get straight to the point this seems like a good product hence the 4 star rating. I don't like a few aspects, the main one being how wide it is at the bottom. I bought it in combination with the HTC2000 mobile base to use as a mobile jointer stand (I have a very small shop that doesn't have it that allows you to permanently mount all the tools) because it looked very flexible and the total for both items was $35 less than purchasing a DeWalt DW7350 Planer Stand (which I have for my planer…

I do not recommend buying this.

Firstly the seller was quick, prompt and I was impressed with their commitment to getting the product to the buyer. 5 stars to the seller. Now the product. Ease of assembly is 1 star or less. Mine didn't have instructions but I knew I could put it together. The problem I had was that there weren't enough washers for all the connections so I had to figure it out. Second, the support arms meet at the corners in the middle of the floor. This causes them to be mismatched. Then the middle bottom…

£500 - NO: Power Tool Parts & Accessories

Why? Why do so many people write 4 and 5 star positive reviews for poor quality products? Even reviews of Revain have identified problems, and they still give high marks. Let's start with the main issue - with that £500 valuation. How did Powertec get this number? Will they pay for a broken machine when the stand is crushed well below its rated weight? The metal parts of the stand are too thin and flexible to support around 500 pounds of weight. I modified the stand to make it more durable and…

Good start. And you can do so much better!

I bought this table for my 90 lb drill press. Having assembled the table using the included hardware, I now understand the importance of the reviewer's advice that recommended purchasing hex head screws. While it's possible to use the included Phillips head screws, and with the right (large, like #3) screwdriver you can get enough torque to actually tighten the screws, the task would be much easier, quicker, and better with hex head screws. So you can use a socket wrench on the head side and a…
