Prest-O-Fit 2-2000 Patio Rug Stakes - Set of 4 Review

They are NOT designed for heavy use. We bought these to hold our new rug but the first time I kicked one in the dirt it buckled. They're like a big cheap nail. I drop them in favor of heavy duty stakes that I use to secure the corners of the tent, RV awning, our awnings, etc.

We used these decking poles to hold our plastic slide mat. They worked like an absolute charm doing just that. However, after slipping, I used them on my patio mat near my RV and there they acted exactly as intended. No complaints at all. Which is good since it's such a simple idea.

We bent two of these on our first hike. We've used them on a number of occasions and found that even in fairly dense dirt they can be bent and if you hit a rock they will definitely bend. We'll keep using them until I can't anymore, but I don't expect to get much use out of them. We will either use firewood again to support the floor carpet or find a better/stronger support.

Great design. There is nothing to trip over. Holds up very well, but comes out easily when packing. Buy an extra Expect to have to bend a few stakes when driving into hard, rocky ground, but it pays off when you just remove it. Heavier pegs may be stronger when driven into hard, rocky ground or gravel, but they are not usually driven to their full depth, which can result in tripping. Heavier pins are also much more difficult to remove when driven to their full depth.

Nice and easy to use. Love how easy it was to take them off at the end of our hike by simply lifting the round part. They are MUCH bigger than a washing machine. I'm glad I got them. 2 stars deducted because one was not enough. There were 3 in the set not 4. I will not be returning them as I didn't open the package until we were camping. So I had to use them. I just put a big rock in the fourth corner to push down that part of the rug.

I chose these for a tarp that I put on the deck to keep water from seeping into the basement. Unfortunately they were too big for the tarpaulin eyelets I used. However, my sister has the same stakes that she uses for her ground mat when they go camping and they are perfect for her. Hence the reason I chose her. But unfortunately the size didn't fit me again, I had to send it back.
