I called Pretec's direct tech support line at 510-580-8339 (mentioned by one of the reviewers here) and was given all the information I needed to troubleshoot the error. How funny! Revain asked me to 'type' my comments but after being so blown away by the Pretec CF modem I was crazy enough to use HPC Casio instead! I bought this wonderful product right after I bought the PDA. It connected straight away and I dialed into my Earthlink account with no problems. I don't think it could be easier. Only thing is I've only used it 3 or 4 times. What's the point? Pocket IE works fine but the view is too small.
