works fine for our purposes

We have a large number of finches and sometimes one of them can be slightly injured or one of the females gets stuck on the egg. We have a separate cage for these birds and there is only one bird in the "Infirmary". a time for us to have extra cells. Although they're called canary nests, they're great for struggling birds. Instead of flying into a small hole in the nest, they can easily jump in. This gives them a place to sleep and rest while they recover. So I can't comment on how well they…

The manufacturer of these nests needs to improve the hanging hooks

I like the thickness compared to other nests that have holes for babies to hook their feet etc. Also they have a problem with the wire hooks that don't hold up well , and I used large paperclips and a branch to hold them in place, which helped. And now I had the same problems with hooks. The main problems with these hanging hooks are that they are too short, they need to be longer and more flexible. If I put a branch next to it to pot it, it doesn't help, it comes loose or still tips over…

I am trying to keep my zebra finches from sleeping in their food bowls

I have three male zebra finches. They are brothers, the last of two clutches that hatched in 2009. They like to sit in their food bowls and to make room for them they will throw lots of seeds on the floor of their cage.
