Also used for new holes!

I wanted to write a review to give people a different idea of how this can be used. After the last power cuts I bought a generator. Generators cannot be indoors due to carbon monoxide. So how do you get extension cords into your home without opening a door or window? I bought this panel, drilled a hole in the tailgate about 12 inches off the ground to allow the extensions through. When the extensions go through the hole, I'll stick the rag into the hole. This plate is ideal for plugging a hole…

Easy Installation - Foam hole recommended for permanent installation

Nice padding to cover a standard doorknob or lock hole. It is very easy to install and center. The finish holds the color well. My only concern is that it will loosen over time. For example, to solve this problem, I used "Great Stuff" foam insulation foam and shot it through the pothole. The foam holds the pad firmly in place and reduces if not water ingress. This of course also insulates the door from heat or heat loss through the original opening. If you've never used expanding foam before…

Worked best as expected in door hardware and locks

The owner removed the handle and replaced it with a regular door handle leaving a smaller hole where the bottom of the handle attaches to the door. His response was to patch the hole (stupid and ugly) and I decided to patch it myself. I was happy to find this solution online. The panels were meant to be flush with the inside and outside of the door, but they had to be countersunk slightly into the hole to do so. The hole in our door was too small, but it was easy to fix. I just took a drill and

Terrible product and manufacturer's customer service

The panels themselves are decently thick and strong but the screw heads holding the panels together broke off at the slightest pressure to tighten them. When I was finally able to pry it out to apply pressure to complete the installation, the screw broke in the middle and the whole thing became completely unusable. Garbage. Find something with quality screws. I have contacted the manufacturer. They promised to call back but never bothered. I contacted her again. They asked for a photo and a…

Replacing an entrance lock no longer seems like an easy task.

The Neanderthal who installed double doors on my deck (now an enclosed porch) has never met a level, plumb, and even in many years of its construction. The dummy handle wasn't even functional and since it's in my office I see it every day and that was enough, when I installed the new lever set I removed it. This left a hole that needed to be covered, so I went with it and painted it to match the door. It went in easily, looks nice and with a little insulation there are no drafts. It was a lot…
