A good product for what it is used for.

We bought this as an added safety feature for our 4 year old autistic son to attach to the top of the sliding glass door. At the age of 4 works normally; However, if you shake the door enough, it locks into place. As such, I would only recommend this product based on the intent of your use, meaning I wouldn't feel comfortable using it as a security feature.

Pros
  • Good value for money
Cons
  • Cord is shorter than others

poor quality good for sliding door Hardware

The design looks good on paper, but the manufacturer has used plastic for the case, making the lock disable button easy to release or disable with a light tap or touch. I opened 3 packages to make sure I wasn't working with a broken one but all 3 were the same which was disappointing as we thought it would work great for our sliding door. Do not recommend this.

Sliding Door Hardware Wrong Size

The description of this product was not clear enough. While the dimensions of the box were correct, the metal bar was not, so I bought one that was 1 inch shorter. This was supposed to be a replacement and I'm guessing the rod length listed was the part that came out of the box and into the hole, but that was the input rod length and only 1 inch comes out of the box. So I wasted my money and the cost of shipping and shipping was so high I didn't want to try and buy again which I thought was…

Pros
  • Certified
Cons
  • Vulgarity

I bought this lock to replace the original which broke 5 months after installation. Looking back, I should have seen that this lock is terribly complicated. All parts, except for the bolt itself and the spring, are made of plastic - not the most reliable material for protection against intruders! After getting the replacement lock and installing it (installation took a few seconds with only four screws provided), I tried it a couple of times. After the second lock and unlock it wouldn't close…

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • I won't say anything
