7 out of 8 in the first box I opened were not square. I had to bend them from 85 degrees to 90 degrees with two pairs of pliers. The pins are 15/64" which makes them loose in the 1/4" hole so I used wood putty to hold them in place.

This was an exact replacement for a shelf used in a dresser. The original pin got lost when we moved and with this kit I was able to assemble the shelf in just a few minutes. This type of pin is useful in many shelving applications.

Perfect for missing shelf hooks that fall out and get lost. after the move. especially. They are amazing and my shelves are solid. I don't have to worry about a bookshelf or cabinet shelf falling out after using toothpicks. Peace of mind WORTH!

This is my second attempt at purchasing 1/4" shelf pins that fit the 1/4" holes I made with the Kreg -Drilled tool I returned the first set because they were advertised as 1/4" (6mm). Six millimeters is not the same as 1/4 inch. It says 1/4 inch. Period. However, they are also six millimeters in size and therefore hang out in 1/4 inch holes. If you can get a 6mm bit for your Kreg mount I'm sure they'll be fine.

As some others have said but I missed it, this is NOT 1/4" in hardware. They are 6mm tall. There doesn't seem to be much of a difference (.250" vs. .236" or about 1/64" smaller. Again, not much. But inserted into the 1/4" hole, they are very loose and can easily fall out The shelf is almost the right width to hold these pins deep in their sockets, they probably work well in 1/4" holes on each side, and it's all shifted to one side, they start very close to that I ended up buying clear plastic…

As long as you measure and are sure you need that size, they will work for you. I have had Plastic Supports supplied by Cabinetry in my kitchen, bathrooms and living areas. I think the ones on the open shelves (the ones not behind the doors) have started to fail due to exposure to light.
