This is a door eyepiece

It was easy to install, took me no more than 10 minutes maybe a few minutes less who knows but it was easy to install if you had the right tool.

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • Very expensive

Average viewer, good for door hardware and locks

Not as easy to see the street with this viewer as my old one did. I used to be able to see the bottom of my door much better and the width range is sufficient not to write much. I would not buy again.

Pros
  • Very good quality
Cons
  • Updates

what you see is what you get

Exactly what I was looking for and I didn't have to go to the hardware store. Visibility is good from peeking and it was easy to install. The instructions even listed the drill's strength and instructions for those drilling the hole rather than replacing previous drills.

Pros
  • Free for training purposes
Cons
  • Newer model selectable

Out of order - the glass has somehow moved

This product was not working when it arrived. Looking through, only a tiny portion of what's on the other side is visible, and it's been blurred beyond recognition. Maybe the glass was installed upside down or the focal length was somehow wrong. In any case, it was completely useless. Looks good and at a great price but we sent it back and will buy another (working) model.

Pros
  • Handsfree
Cons
  • Damaged

Excellent eye, here's the tip for drilling.

Great product, here's a tip before you drill the door: whatever drill bit you use for the final diameter, start with a smaller center hole all the way through, then drill from BOTH SIDES around yourself to meet middle. If you drill all the way through one side you can blow out the wood. So if you insist on doing it this way, at least go inside out as the big lip will hide any damage.

Pros
  • Lasting test results
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging

Super clear view!: Door viewers

My 20 year old door viewer was so cloudy we couldn't see through it - and it never looked good to begin with. So we bought it to replace when we were painting the door anyway. A very, very clear view of everything that is on our doorstep. Note: This one was slightly larger than the old one, so be aware you will likely need to enlarge the existing hole. We had 1/2" and that's 9/16" so make sure you have a 9/16 drill bit handy.

Pros
  • Sturdy build
Cons
  • Some flaws

Very good product, works great! Make sure you know which door you have!

Very easy installation in relation to the actual product and very good visibility from the outside. Now I made 1 mistake drilling the hole. I bought a wood door drill and it didn't work because my front door is metal! I did not know that. So I messed everything up at first before realizing something was wrong. All my fault. I love how this peephole has such a great, clear and wide view. You can't see anything from the outside either. I don't know if there are door monitoring tools that anyone…

Pros
  • Superb design
Cons
  • Disappear
