Really good replacement

The only problem with this lock is that a pre-drilled screw hole doesn't match the existing hole in the door frame. This may be the third time I've replaced the handle and latched this screen door, but this is the first time the holes don't line up. I just left that screw in and everything seems secure enough and is actually much stronger than what it replaced. Except for the wrong hole I am very satisfied.

Cons
  • Expensive

I can't even get it back so $80 is wasted. Do not buy

I had high hopes for this lock but it turned out to be absolutely horrible. After 3 days the paint on the door handle started to peel off. The key got stuck in the lock and then began to bend. I wasn't allowed home with a baby and my husband was stuck at work. We took it to our local locksmith and they couldn't fix it. I can't even get it back so $80 is wasted. Do not buy.

Pros
  • Screen door hardware
Cons
  • It's ok

Very good replacement

New handles, striker plate and fitting was a warm welcome to a screened security door that has not worked for over 23 years since I bought the house. Didn't know these parts still existed. It only took a bit of nibbling and drilling because the original owner bought a left handed door and installed it upside down to get the handle on the right. But since the latch can be folded either way, I was able to fix the handle in reverse. One hole was slightly different so I had to drill and rethread…

Pros
  • Door Hardware & Locks
Cons
  • Unbelievable price
