I cannot praise this sketchbook enough. I took one for a lesson and was so impressed with the weight of the paper and its ability to hold MANY layers of watercolor paint that I picked up another.

What I received was not a ProArt book. It's Nicole's book called Premiere. All in all it might not matter much but Pro Art books have a board/paper like surface, these books have teeth. If that's what you're looking for, then this is the book. I prefer smooth, like real ProArt books.

11" x 14" Pro-Art Hardcover Sketchbook is very durable with nice paper pages for drawing. Nice texture of the cover, elegant and durable. I draw all the time so I carry sketchbooks with me everywhere in my bag/backpack so they need to be durable and this one should be sure. Perfect for my constant drawing needs. A great sketchbook for anything.

I was surprised it was as large as it was when it arrived. I was expecting it to be smaller than pictured as is usual with most things, but this one appears to be slightly larger than pictured. I specifically ordered the book to create my large personal organizer, as I have 6 children small organizers don't suit me. It's durable and won't seep too much ink to the other side. The page sizes are reasonable and turn the page easily without tearing. Although I wish the pages were thicker. I will be

First of all I really like this book. I'm a multimedia artist using either watercolor or charcoal and pencils. This has its pros and cons; Pros: Outwardly it looks very nice, it has texture and glossy black cover. There are many sides. The pages themselves are quite thick, if you use pencils or pastels this is perfect for you. Cons: The only downside I have is that the paper isn't thick enough to hold the watercolor.
