Lightweight starter

Good torque and no heat, original GM style lightweight starter. Worth considering if you are unhappy with your current starter.

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • Hard to tell

Still attached to the flywheel.

Not 100% satisfied with this starter. V8 sbc 350, I'm having trouble aligning. I've taken it off about 15 times and it's still hanging on the flywheel. It works.

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • Very expensive

Missing parts! Screws and washers are not included!

Addendum mentions screws and washers are included but not. The box was damaged as were the instructions. There's no point in sending instructions if they look more like packaging material, like scraps of paper. I had to buy screws and washers. I think I got what someone gave back!

Pros
  • New
Cons
  • Definitely a bad product

For nothing but stock engine

Won't last long on a 406 SBC that has burned out past the return date. Try it immediately when you buy a new non-working device or you are stuck

Pros
  • Fitment Type: Vehicle Specific
Cons
  • Zero

think again in starters and alternators

When buying auto parts, it is important that they work properly, as fitting them takes time and money. I'm wasting time and money. Mine was installed by a certified technician at a local auto shop and was told the part was faulty. The Bendix drive stayed in contact with the flywheel, making a horrible whirr. I can get a refund for the part, but I'm not paying for the installation cost. I only installed it because I was making hoops and decided to just add it to the job. I'd advise ordering less

Pros
  • Country of origin : Taiwan
Cons
  • Negative impression
