YOU WILL NEVER GO BACK TO REGULAR CHAIN OIL

My bike shop recommended this oil and I thought "Aren't all oils created equal"? After using it on a mountain bike and two road bikes, WOW! No comparison with conventional chain oil. First, it doesn't seem to clog the chain like regular oil after a few rides. Second, there doesn't appear to be any drop in performance when water is a factor. Of course you pay more, but believe me, it's worth it.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Can't remember

I like it but it's too hyped

Reading the ad, you might think you'll never need to remove and clean the chain. NOT SO. I drive about 100 miles a week through Central Florida. Once a week I will reapply and wipe with a clean rag then the chain "looks" fine. About once a month I take the chain off and clean it in recycled solvent, then you can see that what looks like clean chain is actually not clean. So I'll keep using it, but I'll probably need to up the frequency of off-bike cleaning a bit.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • ill thought out

I never use a sprayer just fill small pipettes and keep using them. This lube is great. Just make sure you use it properly. Apply a thin coat to the entire chain, then slowly step through all the gears. Then dry the chain with a clean cloth. Lubricant has already penetrated, the residue of which on the outside only leads to a dirty, rough gearbox. Do not leave it on the chain overnight and then dry it off before riding. By then, the cleaning solvents will have evaporated, leaving a sticky, oily

Pros
  • Delivery was very fast
Cons
  • I will add later

Best bike chain cleaner and lube in my opinion

I am an avid cyclist and ride 3000-4000 miles a year. I've been using Progold chain oil for almost 10 years now. The chain is lubricated and cleaned every 200-300 km. With Progold I typically run over 3,000 miles on a Shimano Ultegra chain before it stretches to the point where it needs to be replaced. Regular cleaning and lubrication of the chain prolongs its service life. Replacing the chain when it stretches extends the life of the cassette and crank. I put 15,000 miles on my last cassette…

Pros
  • Nice packaging
Cons
  • Big and bulky

Buy this if you want a quiet, great shifting circuit.

Wow! Words cannot express how much I love this chain oil. I have to admit that the grease I used before wasn't made for bikes. I tried buying other lubes that were cheaper because they weren't sold specifically for bikes. But after a year of riding noisy chains on all four of my bikes, I finally found the Revain and tried the Prolink. It changed all four of my bikes and my riding experience. I didn't realize how noisy my circuitry had become. My bikes were making noises that I thought were…

Pros
  • Best in niche
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for seniors

That's a good chain lube, but Revain's packaging is missing!

I'm not the type to give a product a bad review because of poor delivery. Revane put this bottle in a USPS envelope. There was no seal or protection around the bottle and the lid was not secured with tape. At least zip the bottle up so it doesn't fly all over the place when it leaks. It drips a little, but stinks horribly. (If you've used it, you know how it smells. Maybe kerosene?) In short: the thing works well for me. I have 6 bikes to service that often ride on muddy and wet roads. Long…

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • Lots of stuff

Easy to use, great performance, Biker's Dream Lube

I've recently done two complete overhauls and wanted to re-lube everything I put together when building my bike. First, this lube and its spray applicator really help loosen stuck, overtightened, or corroded bolts; saved a life in that regard. It's not great for lubricating seat posts, bolts and bearings, but that's not what this product is designed for (use Park Tool PPL-2 Polylube 1000 Grease Tub (1 Lb) for this). For chain, the correct application is: chain and cogs clean in a degreasing…

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Quality
