I bought this thing at the last minute before having to move across country from Wisconsin to Arizona. I couldn't risk anything moving on the journey. This rug worked great! On the way down I rode through the heat, the pouring rain, the craziest winds you've ever seen, and he didn't budge. Mind you, I had a very heavy pannier on the roof, very cramped.

Used in hopes of protecting the roof of my car during an 8 hour drive. For this purpose it worked well, the bag on the roof did not leave any scratches. My problem was that this blanket kept slipping under the bag no matter how tight I pulled it shut. The whole trip I was afraid that it would somehow slide off the roof. I probably wouldn't use the mat again, it was more of a headache than useful for the purpose it served.

Nothing fancy but seems to work great. Looks like the same product I used for woodworking to hold a work piece while cutting with a router. It is a non-slip but mesh-like material that allows water to drain easily and will not scratch the roof. The dimensions are slightly larger than my roof bag, so I just folded it over the front. worked fine I can also use it as a hardboot liner so nothing slips.

This mat did a great job of protecting my little Eco from a full roof rack scratch when I moved from Florida to the New England area. The carpet didn't move at all. The bottom line is to wet the roof of the car before attaching the mat and immediately attach the roof bag. If you do this, the mat will not move an inch during transport. You still need to make sure your storage and straps are secured at any gas station or rest stop, but I assure you the mat will stay in place even if you first wet

Works very well on our trips across the country. The wind will lift the mat from the front if your package is not fully covered and not lying on the mat. I would recommend using a suction cup if you have a glass hatch to hold the front of the mat in place. Very satisfied with the product. To be honest I haven't used my trunk without a mat (bought at the same time) so I really can't say if there has been an improvement. But what I can say is that the product is high quality and my trunk hasn't moved on our 700th trip. Item arrived exactly as described. High quality mesh that forms a non-slip protective surface over our 2001 Ford Expedition. We are planning a cross country holiday and I checked this beforehand.
