What a wonderful invention! I have 100 year old oak floors that I want to spoil. The legs of a table chair just won't give. These silicone shells (soft like kitchen silicone) are flexible enough to simply snap on and conform to the shape of the chair leg; they hold up great to stay in place; Felt bottoms glide smoothly on even the heaviest crops; and I am very satisfied with this product. I tried two previous products before finding this one and I won the third time!

Although the front and back legs of my Chinese chair were slightly different sizes and the back legs are slightly curved, the Chinese chair leg guards fit and flex very well. As for durability, time will tell. My only complaint is that it can be very difficult to determine where the products sold on Amazon are made without purchasing them. Update: After 6 months the leg guards started falling off. Now I use glue to hold them together. I would probably downgrade to 3 ½ if possible.

Floor pads work great, I bought them for a very large and very heavy wooden coffee table (4ft x 4ft) in the living room. Our dining chairs come with hard plastic glides on the legs which protect well from scratches and allow the chairs to slide easily but will make a nasty sound if someone moves the chairs.
