Description of Proto Pasta CDP11705 Composite Conductive Black: High-Quality Conductive Filament for Advanced 3D Printing

High electrical conductivity of 15ohm-cm suitable for lighting LEDs, touch sensors and other electronics. Comes on fully corrugated recyclable spool with standard dimension. Dark Black in color with good printing on PLA machines. Processing is comparable to standard PLA. No heated bed required, but it may improve results. Process may be less consistent on smaller nozzles (<4mm) and/or Bowden-type machines. We recommend printing this material at 220c-230c using a 4 mm or larger nozzle. Please note that this filament is more brittle than normal PLA and requires more careful handling to prevent breakage. Designed and manufactured in the USA with quality and as top priorities. USA-sourced packaging and labor.

Inconsistent and headache for my printer.

I use it to print capacitive touch panels for my product. Once it's set up, print quality is pretty good, although there is some sacrifice in durability and layer adhesion compared to regular PLA. It really makes the number on the injectors. Filament cleaning is not effective. I ended up resorting to simply changing tips after using this material. I am using the 3rd coil and it is not compatible with the first two. It seems almost twice as brittle as the others and keeps breaking next to my…

Pros
  • High conductivity 15 ohm-cm, suitable for LED lighting, touch sensors and other electronics. Supplied on a standard size fully corrugated recyclable spool
Cons
  • Something else

A resistor of 2-5k ohms is not exactly conductive.

So it took me a while to print with this filament. I was hesitant as reviews describe it as being quite abrasive and the nozzle wears out quickly, but I felt I didn't need to type too much. An example use case is a small base board for multiple surface mount devices that can be used in packages. I do 3D printing. It seemed to me that this is a great opportunity to create basic and simple routes directly on the 3D printed surface in the device I made. However, the first test print of the 4x2cm…

plastic solder! I'm a happy customer.

This is exactly what I wanted. I can use it as a low temperature solder and apply it directly to the metal wire to make low resistance connections. This plastic seems a little less stiff than regular PLA, I didn't find brittleness to be an issue. vary depending on the voltage potential on the plastic. Measuring the resistance of my first circuit (without connecting voltage of course) disappointed me with a very high number; However, when I turned on the device and the LEDs flashed, I wasn't…
