Nice and fat. Rugged

I frequently service bikes for people in my area and regularly buy items such as cables and cable covers in bulk. It was probably one of the best cable covers I've bought in a long time. It's nice and thick with a nice nylon lining on the inside and is lined with a nice strong metal helix running inside for extra rigidity.

Brakes only! on Switches & Switches

This cable sleeve is great! It is worth noting that the housing should only be used for brakes, since they must be rigid and endure a lot of pull and pull. I also used them on my shifter cables, not knowing that there was another type of shifter housing. They still work, it just takes a little extra effort to sort. The white color looks great too.

Cons
  • Big and Bulky

Not the quality you expect

I thought I would save a few bucks by purchasing this item. nope! Get something better. Even with new sharp wire cutters, it's difficult to get a clean cut. He presses the phone. They flex a lot and the edges are jagged, so I doubt my new brake cables will last long. I want to return this product. It looks good, the price is good, but the quality is worse. Buyer Warning!

Not just for bikes anymore!

I need to repair, replace, rebuild and adjust cables for various devices. I believe I am indebted to Sir Frank Bowden, founder and owner of the Raleigh Bicycle Company c. 1902 for the invention of this "Bowden cable cover". Special length cables or repair cables are produced quickly, easily and very durable with this method: one. Determine the length you need, cut about 1/4 inch. Two. Carefully trim the ends on a thin grinding wheel, being careful not to overheat. Use an awl or similar object…

Housing in good condition

Inner lining seems smooth. The outer layer may not be the strongest, it cuts and peels more easily than others I use. When I grind a cut cable to a square end with a rotary sander, neither the inner jacket nor the outer jacket melts as easily, which is a great bonus! The brakes have a positive feel on this body, not soft. Some casing brands cut cleanly and the inner coil seems to "crack", other brands cut with a large crack and twist in the inner coil. This variety has a curved cut and will…
