I bought this in January to cut 4 holes in my kitchen for the glass lighting. It didn't get through the first one until it wore out. I made it maybe halfway through my ceiling and couldn't go any further. I first used this last week, a week after my 30 day return window closed, so I paid $25 for a beat that couldn't finish a cut. Stay away from this product. It's a waste of time and money.

I was someone who was hesitant to order this hole saw as reviews noted that it was not threaded properly and therefore had a tendency to unscrew the mandrel. First I screwed the saw onto the mandrel with a pipe wrench and made sure it was nice and reliable. I had no problems with her at all. It works exactly as it should and I suspect there will be no negative reviews. when users take the time to properly tighten the saw.

I say decent because the hole saw doesn't have enough tooth space/profile to cut thicker materials. I was trying to drill two pieces of softwood 2x8 (actual thickness 1-1/2 inch) on a 1hp drill press. 8 inch cutout. I ended up having to drill through pilot holes and then just saw holes on either side after a much larger handle. It works great with thinner materials like 1/2" plywood and 1/16" aluminum.
