slightly less than 3 "

says it's for a 3" duct but it's actually 2&7/8" - the way the sleeve does is bent doesn't allow for "flush" mounting On a 3" pipe, the corners of the joints are too rounded and should be squarer or sharper in the bends, but it's good for the operator and feels solid

Pros
  • High marks for grip and durability from testers
Cons
  • Needs a rosette

won't open to get ball free

I bought this clutch to replace an old rotten one. I have to open it every time so that it takes the ball. Perhaps over time it will wear out and be released to the top. But never had such a trailer lock. and I had and still have many problems. Go somewhere else and buy a Reese traction engine. You will not regret it.

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • Minor issues

Used for garden carts.

I don't like the pin hitch that is used on self propelled mowers so I changed it to a ball hitch. Used this on my John Deere 8Y wagon with the two holes on top of this hitch. I had to drill two new 3/8" holes in the carriage because the two holes in the old coupler did not line up. If this sounds like a good idea to you, note that the trailer tongue doesn't fold in with the hitch installed, so you can't use the 8Y as a pusher without removing it again.

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • Not the best

There was a small problem, but everything worked out.

We got this and the tongue that hung down didn't go down low enough. We got a replacement from Revain so my husband took it off and saw the tongue was stuck in there so he took a hammer and banged on it and it came free. Reset and now it works again. However, I wrote to the company's support team and when I tried to tell them what happened, their email came back to me. Don't you call her? Strange. Sent a new one back from Revain.

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • So far so good

Good value, easily handles my load requirements

With this hitch, along with a standard 1-7/8" ball and a 3/8 thick universal Mission Automotive hitch plate, I was able to Customize my Troy - Bilt lawn tractor to tow my 30 year old Garden Way wagon with a 400 pound load up and down steep slopes with ease. Greatly increased the utility of the lawn tractor. Since I didn't have a 2" square steel shaft, I built a drawbar out of the finest hardwood scraps I had at my shop and planed to fit the hitch perfectly.

Pros
  • Price
Cons
  • Hard to say

I used this hitch to replace the hitch pin on my garden cart

I replaced the hitch pin on my wagon with this connector. and see the cart across the yard because the hitch pin clip wasn't holding it to the mower. GRRRRR! This is perfect for the wagon channel, I have added a 1 7/8 ball to my self propelled mower and now when I attach the wagon to the mower it stays attached so I can now pull the wagon across the yard without tearing myself away solve. Mower.

Pros
  • Class I: 2000lbs gross trailer weight.
Cons
  • Not as thick as other picks

Spend money! Believe me.

I bought this for a trailer that I am refurbishing. I liked it because it was black and the colors I wanted were black and grey. When I was done the trailer looked great and I still use it as a kayak trailer. The clutch works perfectly. There are no security issues at all. I have a problem, it won't remove from my grip. I literally have to use a pry bar and pry the retainer under the sleeve to dislodge it. When I open the latch and raise the jack, the rear wheels of my Tahoe almost lift off the

Pros
  • Bolted construction, fully galvanized

  • Vulgarity
