Lockable cable ties? So many uses

Great useful invention. Wondering if this is just for the bike? I keep two zip ties together for me and the kids bikes when we lock them up but it's also great for lots of other useful things including temporarily securing items in the back of a pickup truck like tools etc. 3# combos enough for me.

Pros
  • Sports and outdoor activities
Cons
  • Useless features

Ideal for attaching children's helmets

Ideal for attaching children's bicycle helmets to the bicycle at school. Thin zip ties go through narrow holes in the helmet where a regular bike chain won't fit. It's safe, and since kids use it, they can easily make tiny combinations. Combinations of numbers can be a bit tricky for very large fingers. Just a note.

Pros
  • Cycling
Cons
  • Without automatic

Ideal for unicycles

Does your unicycle have a fabric handle with Velcro? Simply slide this bad boy between the strap and the metal and it will stay straight and firmly on your board for the duration of your ride. Then, when it's time to hit the store, you can lock your board outside instead of carrying it around. I would doubt this would stand up to a truly motivated thief, but it will stop the everyday convenience thief, which is 9/10 of what you will encounter.

Useful when you need to lock your bike for a minute or two.

Priced at $7 each, these locks are great to keep on hand. I will keep 1 in my backpack for when I ride alone and need to dive to the toilet. I usually take my bike with me, but that's not always possible (e.g. Port-o-Potty). That way I can use one of them to quickly tie down my bike if I have to leave it unattended. I wouldn't use this as a primary lock or leave it locked for more than a few minutes because I'm sure a determined thief could pick them up in seconds. But they will definitely getโ€ฆ

Great Theft Deterrent

I bought these zip locks to attach my high lift jack to my jeep to prevent the jack from being stolen. I didn't see any really good solutions on the internet for locking my jack to the cradle until I came across these zip ties. They are perfect for what I need. I have one on either side of the hood bracket that attaches the jack to the bracket to prevent jack theft. They're flexible, feel solid with a steel core, and use a three-digit code you dream up to unlock them. These locks can be usedโ€ฆ
