Better than plastic hinges

The problem was the round piece of plastic that fits between the hinge and the bottom of the toilet. There are two holes in the plastic part and one of them is misaligned and needs to be cut at the bottom to work. It can be done with a razor, but the company has to fix it. Also the small screws should have something to center the part in the bottom of the toilet. If they were corrected I would give 5 stars.

Pros
  • Tools and household goods
Cons
  • Very expensive

Doesn't fit long bowl and tends to slide

Hinge Toilet rod is too narrow for long bowl, preventing seat from aligning with front edge of bowl. The mounting posts are 1/8" threaded, which also allows the seat to be moved. Requires filler to remove sediment to reduce displacement. Rubber anti-slip pad is essential to increase grip and to hold the seat in place. The loops are long enough for a good grip and strong.Might work for a round bowl but not so well for an American long bowl.

Pros
  • Hardware
Cons
  • Out of style

Problem Solving - Replacing a Durable Toilet Hinge!

I needed a replacement hinge for my church wood toilet seat as the plastic hinges broke. The big stores didn't have anything so I measured the ones that were there and it looked like they would fit. The hinges I had were installed horizontally and this is a vertical mount. So once they are aligned you will need to drill some new holes to attach them properly. I had to readjust the hinge by loosening the screw on the underside of the hinge 180 degrees and then retightening the screw. This worked

Pros
  • Hinges
Cons
  • Some small things
