    Better than what is available elsewhere

    It took a little research to get it right. Big stores don't sell those with built-in stoppers. With stops, you don't need separate valves on the supply lines. Aside from the usual Revain shipping issues, this Delta product is top notch and should last a lifetime. American quality. In case of problems, the cartridge, which is sold with a set of liners or sold separately, can be replaced without dismantling the plumbing or tiles. A good thing.

    Poor out of box - damaged connector

    good price - only benefit of a new/sound product - some other reviews mentioned damaged/missing parts - although all parts were included Brass shower connector and threads were bent - from impact/ Case - this valve may have been spun violently prior to packing as the shipping box looked fine - but contained minimal packaging - the product box was damaged due to a loose valve inside - - soft brass fittings are susceptible to rough handling. Try to return/replace it once before buying it locally.

    I would give zero if I could

    Damaged. Obviously it wasn't a new product, just new to me (and joked about me too). Apparently it had fallen from some height as the shower head outlet was dented making it impossible to pour copper into it. I used the threaded option (not my first choice) because I didn't have time to wait for a replacement. The Delta R10000 is a great valve, but note that this supplier does not explicitly inspect returns for damage. I haven't had a blood pressure test yet so we're hoping for the best.

    Works very well after installation.

    I installed two of these units in my home as a DIYer. We both need to replace the existing old valve systems in the old house. It's not an easy task, but if you have the soldering and repair skills, as well as the time and patience, the result is worth it. Hire someone to do the work if you're not comfortable with it.     Delta is the way to go.

    We gutted our bathroom. We have selected all Delta shower components. It looks fantastic and works! It was a bit difficult to choose the valve box we needed as there are different ports for different needs. We made Pex because we needed the flexible tubing to run behind the horizontal vent pipe (why they built it that way who knows). My 3 star rating is due to the fact that I purchased this installation kit to replace an 18 year old (1999 vintage) original Delta Series 17 shower valve body that was so stuck I couldn't get the old valve cartridge out could it.     Bought a pair of these to replace some of the old Temptrol valves we had around the house. I liked the idea of being able to isolate the water from the cartridge straight to the valve instead of shutting off the water in your house. They are easy to use and easy to access, love this feature. The finish on this valve is excellent.
