They weren't needed so I used them for other purposes.

I didn't need them so I used them for other purposes, they fit my pickup. Used short coils, caps, u-plugs and terminals, ruined mine when removing.

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Piggy bank Price

Doesn't quite match OEM quality.

After comparing these springs to the originals I decided not to use them. The OEM springs are slightly thicker and stronger. They had a lot of notches. This worries me because the nickname is the start of the gap.

Pros
  • Nice to use
Cons
  • May damage

03 Tundra somehow fitting, additional useless and missing parts

Automatic adjustment spring is missing. The lower spring is slightly thinner. The clamping springs are slightly different in size. Overall, you get some parts at a reasonable price. Not a 100% replacement kit like I wanted.

Pros
  • Very good price
Cons
  • Empty

Adjuster and main return springs will not fit '03 Tundra 4x4 SR5

Unfortunately the springs in the photos appear to be correct but they are not "quite correct" and will interfere with the adjustment mechanism when donning . forced to reuse old factory nibs that seem well made and still good.

Pros
  • Complete set
Cons
  • Not bad but...

All I needed were the two longest pad stop pins.

I visited three different dealerships and bought a set of pins for $2.99. There were 4 mounting pins in the set. They were short. So I went to two different brake shops, they said to go to the dump. Instead of a total cost with shipping of about $16, I received 4 long and 4 short pins. It was expensive for the two pins that were needed. But I saw no other way. I was afraid to try going to the dealer about 50 miles from me. $16 was cheaper when it came to parts and gas.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Almost everything is there

2005 Toyota Tundra Brake Drum Repair

Depending on the year of your truck this kit may contain some extra parts and springs may also be missing. In my case, a 2005 Toyota Tundra, there were 4 extra struts, 2 extra springs, and 2 more springs missing. However, this appears to be a systemic issue that occurs with every drum brake kit listed and sold for my year's Tundra. The other springs in this kit worked perfectly. They all seemed just as good as if they were no thicker than the originals they replaced. The posts are zinc plated…

Pros
  • New to my collection
Cons

Excellent kit; A wrong spring for my truck.

All in all a very good price; The only reason for deducting a star is to note that one of the springs in the kit was the wrong spring for my 2006 Tundra 4WD. It was a spring applying force to a self-adjusting mechanism - not a big deal, I reused the old spring on this component and all seems fine. Thing is, many brake shops reuse these springs on a regular basis and never run into a problem, so I don't see it as a big problem - definitely not enough to try chasing that spring mid-brake. Work…

Pros
  • Good workmanship
Cons
  • No
