Description of πŸ”’ High-Capacity 1,200 lb. Tie Down with Recessed D-Ring - 4

This tie down attachment has a 1,200 lb. capacity vertical pull weight rating with a 400 lb WLL* - see more product details below. Use two d-rings to obtain a flush, trip free surface to secure cargo weighing less than 800 lbs. Tiedown pans are designed to mount flush to mounting surface making them ideal for trailers along with other applications. To install this recessed attachment it requires routing, or cutting a hole in the floor. The closer you install to a floor beam the stronger the d-ring. Zinc plated tie offs are perfect for those looking for extra corrosion resistance without the expense of stainless steel. To obtain maximum strength it is recommended to install these d-rings with bolts, lock nuts, and fender washers (wide diameter). These recessed tie down rings pivot up when in use and pivot down into pan when not in use. The 1/4" diameter ring measures 2-1/8" wide X 1-3/4" long. 1/4" tapered securing holes are on a 4" center. 1/4" drainage hole.

D-ring Broken on first use

D-ring Broken on first use Pulled out like the ring was low-grade steel. The original brackets have been used since 2007 when I had my first breakdown.

Pros
  • Confident
Cons
  • Everything OK

Perfect for external accessories

Perfect for replacing the broken strap on my Weekend Warrior. When buying a used trailer, the original coupling was broken. This one looks like an OEM. Not sure about the weight but judging by the diameter of the ring I would never expect it to hold 1200lbs. Of course I never trust the weight of a line. My bike only weighs about 600 pounds so I think it will be fine for my purposes.

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • Can't remember but there was something

Exact fit for Thor Dog/Tie-out option

For those of you who have a Thor camper with an external dog tie this D-ring will definitely fit. Our bus had a hole in the floor of the electrical/battery compartment below, but this option was not factory ordered. I installed this device in 10 minutes and it works GREAT. This is an exact match for setting this option. Very durable. We have two 15ft leashes for our dogs to use when they are camping.

Pros
  • Delivery was very quick
Cons
  • Compatibility

Great quality and better than what it has replaced 10 times

Coming back from a trip I noticed two punctures on my recessed brackets on my toy dump truck. Both D-rings were separated, leaving the ring free from the rest of the mount and freeing up the load for unwanted movement. These D-rings, for example, aren't open, they're one solid piece, whereas previous models aren't. The bottom line is that this is truly a 'nominal' mount, using an improved design and adding an extra bolt hole to attach it to the base material. 1000 times better than it was. I am
