I've only made one pot of chicken broth so far. .

has only made one pot of chicken broth so far. A sock only fits on a chicken's bones. I was making a very large stock pot for a three chicken freezer, so I had to use three socks. This, of course, greatly facilitated the inventory creation process. No need to catch small bones and avoid clogging the screen with bits of meat and bones. The time required to create inventories has been significantly reduced.

Worry-free soup! - Kitchen & Dining

I make chicken soup from scratch by dunking a whole chicken in a pot of water. When the soup was ready I had to fish out the bones hoping to get them all, which I never did. Soup Sock enters. Now I put the whole chicken in the bag before submerging it in the water. When the soup is ready, I remove the bag, cut open, carefully remove and return the meat to the broth. I no longer worry about the bones in the soup. Soup bags are an integral part of the kitchen!

The soup is ready! - Cookware Accessory

When you're making chicken broth with bones or other items you don't keep. What should it all be, these soup socks are fantastic. Put everything in the sock, tie it off, pour it into the pot and you're done. I also used them in my pressure cooker. Use a pressure cooker and a fat separator and you'll have chicken broth in about an hour. They come in packs of three (three, three packs). There was a hole in one of the socks (don't laugh). It was too late for Revane to fix it, so I wrote to the…

Makes serving easier

Not only do I LOVE this product for making soups, but for simply serving corn beef dinners. I put each veg in a bag so my guests don't pick at the food while serving to make sure they don't get any veggies they don't like. In other years there would be quarrels with children if a piece of onion or potato got to a carrot and touched a leek. Everyone is smiling this year. Advice; If I just need a small portion of a packet, say for a few orange peels, I cut the packet in two and just tie off the…

The perfect appetizer for soups.

Used for preparing soups and stews at home. I just finished the sea bean soup and started cooking it. I put two cooked ham legs from homemade dinners in a bag and boiled in water for 4 hours. I remove the bag and let the meat cool to separate the meat from the bones. I added dry beans to the pot and cooked them for about 4 hours before adding the veggies and meat back to the pot. I use a frame diffuser under the pot to keep the soup from overheating by stirring every 15-30 minutes. In another 5

Love love of cookware accessories

What a great find! I cook chicken soup at least twice a month. Now I don't have to worry about chicken bones in my soup. I like my soup to simmer for at least a few hours for maximum flavor. I start with grilled chicken (remove large chunks of chicken to add after bones are cooked so it doesn't get rubbery). I prefer the taste of bone-in chicken soup over raw chicken. However, this means that small pieces of bone keep slipping into the soup. I usually want the texture of the veggies to leave…

Great for bone broth!

I love my soup socks. I make a lot of chicken bone broth, and these socks have a lot of chicken bones in them. The secret to putting on a sock is to stretch it before inserting the bones. I have a sock for four large thigh and leg combos or a whole chicken plus extra bones I saved from previous meals. Once the chicken is off the bone (4-5 hours in the slow cooker) I remove the chicken from the sock, remove the meat from the bones, then place the bones and skin back into the sock. I add extra…

Great help cleaning up chicken soup

After I used up the whole pack of three socks I made my chicken soup for the holiday and what a difference both in time and also with cleaning! I put about 11lbs of chopped chicken in one sock (was amazed 3 chiles fit in one sock!), all the veggies I did NOT keep in the other sock, and carrots (which I usually have to sift through). and rinse before returning to the brew) in the 3rd sock. MARVELOUS! It's as easy as just pulling the bag out with tongs, pouring some into the bowl so you don't…
