Terribly cheap plastic. It can't possibly support the weight of one lamp, let alone two. The metal screw that holds the rod under tension is screwed into the plastic. Moments after installation, it was unplugged and unusable.

This is a good bracket for small bulbs. I have two smaller lamps and a large lamp with a heat-emitting bulb. It won't work with a larger lamp as the stand only goes up to 36 inches and isn't tall enough. It worked great with smaller bulbs and I would recommend them, wish it came with extra rods to attach two bulbs at a time.

Instructions are not helpful at all when setting up. The chart is tiny (and I have 20/20 vision and I'm young!) so I couldn't tell what the parts were at all. I recommend ignoring this completely and using common sense to piece it all together, this worked for me. However when it's together it works great, just the way I wanted it.

Looks solid but smaller than expected. The extension only makes the base taller, not the arm holding the light. So it may be big enough to attach to a 40 gallon tank, but the pod isn't big enough if you're using it with water in a tank for an aquatic turtle. It will not keep the light far enough away from the bathing area. Unfortunately, the ledge that slides under the fish tank is thick so it only fits under the legged fish tank and not flush with the surface it sits on.

I bought this stand because unfortunately the local pet stores were out of stock and I didn't know when new ones would be available. When I installed this the arm holding the light wasn't very strong so I had to replace the bulbs with one with a smaller lighter dome and it still didn't seem strong enough. I ended up making a corner bracket to attach it to the arm and the part that rises to give it more stability. If other stores knew when their stands would be in stock I would wait and pay less

I use this stand with ExoTerra 12x12x18 body and ReptiZoo Dual Light Dome. This is not compatible with Exoterra but I found a way as you can see in the pictures. The instructions don't show what each part is and is a bit difficult to follow, but you can find out for yourself. Also, it doesn't quite keep my dome upright, but that's not too bad. Also, the package was marked undeliverable but arrived anyway, so weird. Overall, I wouldn't recommend this particular product, but it really works.

I think this works well for others, but it didn't work for me on my large Exo Terra aquarium. The problem is with the tab that secures the bracket to the top of the gas cap. If you try to screw it in tight enough, the slightest pressure will push the retainer out of the lid. I bought this to try and fix the heat lamps because nothing would keep my cat from the lizard tank and I was afraid she would smash the hot lamp domes to the ground.
