Other Applications for Reptiles and Amphibians

We bought this for our newborn puppies and it worked great. screwed it into the clip on the lamp, and it made them nice and cozy on those February winter nights. It radiates even heat and keeps duvets warm! Can be used well in the greenhouse to protect the plants from freezing.

Pros
  • Absolutely Amazing!
Cons
  • Incredible piggy bank

Warmer and less fragile than a traditional heating pad

This unit arrived well packaged and on time. The heat output is better than a conventional 300 watt heating pad. Also, there are no lights to keep the chickens up at night! Love it so far, will update this durability rating in a few months or when it breaks down, whichever comes first.

Pros
  • practical item
Cons
  • cord is shorter than others

Perfect Electric Heater

This is a product I didn't know existed but was glad I stumbled upon it as it is exactly what I was looking for. I wanted an electric heater for my cabin in addition to my small propane heater, but didn't want a standard 1500 watt hour battery powered electric heater. It ideally uses less than 300 watt-hours, but still puts out enough heat to heat a small room. I'm literally a happy backpacker and so are my batteries.

This thing gets HOT and has many uses.

Ok I bought this to add warmth in a cold basement and it would be great in the shower where you need an IR heater or for use in a commercial food warmer. With a metal clip portable lamp this thing puts out a huge amount of dry heat, it's great for curing paint or epoxy without moving it like a heater. This is if you had no other cooking appliance. LAUGH OUT LOUD.

Works great with heat lamps

We ordered/used this heat lamp from a pet food store instead of heat/light to keep our fancy babies warm. It did a great job, and since it gives off heat without the light, it didn't disturb her night's sleep. It had to be a little closer to them than the light for the heat to reach them (perhaps a power issue), there didn't seem to be as much heat as advertised but it worked for what we needed. We only had to use it for a couple of weeks before the chicks were old enough to play in their coop,

Pros
  • Very good value
Cons
  • Fine

Did the job but didn't last much longer than the return deadline.

I usually use the Blue Stone brand, but I tried the promising 250 watt IR lamp because it was a lot cheaper at the time. Bought on October 14th 2019 and tonight it just died. The return period is only one month, and the service life of such lamps must be at least six. All but one of my Bluestone bulbs have lasted at least eight months. The one who didn't last replaced me when he died three months later. I use it with a thermostat for my hedgehog so it's on and off 24/7. Be sure to choose a blue
