The hinges come out of the (thin) box, packed together with no separator material so they scratch from the start. They are actually almost black, not the color shown here. While they could probably be used if you wanted to, one of them opened up a lot less smoothly than you'd expect. The hinges are great. At first I thought the finish looked a bit dull but there is a thick layer of oil that you can rub off and they have a very nice finish. The quality is really great. Hole alignment was accurate and they were easy to swap out with my existing front door hinges. The supplied screws are too short. I went to Home Depot and bought a pack of screws for their oiled wiped hardware and they worked much better because they were long enough to really hook into the door frame. So I…

I used these to replace some of the old noisy front door hinges. I installed them three weeks ago so durability remains to be seen. Pros: Aesthetically, they match the Schlague bronze hardware that I've recently installed comfortably, if not perfectly. The hinges themselves feel heavy and premium, and the pins are easy to remove with standard tools. Once installed, the movement of the heavy doors was smooth, steady and completely silent.
