For installing trolling motors and electric winches. Automatically resets itself. Better than a fuse which can blow and ruin a fishing trip. Includes nuts, washers, mounting hardware and an 8 gauge ring terminal.

Works well with switches and relays

Hooked them up to the hot wire for my side-by-side two battery setup. This gives me good certainty that my system will not simply fry.

Pros
  • For mounting trolling motors and electric winches
Cons
  • So-so

This is not a 4 Plus item

With all the 4 Plus ratings this item has received I have not hesitated to purchase it. It's easy to connect to the battery, but mine wasn't successful. I had to disconnect it for the trolling motor and sonar to work.

Pros
  • Auto reset
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for the elderly

Best in breaker just in case

The whole purpose of a circuit breaker is to be there in case of a problem. I have a 50 amp unit for use with a boat trolling motor that is supposed to draw up to 40 amps. I like that it comes with a short pole with a 3/8 hole for mounting on the battery post. The only thing I would change is if it had a 5/16 or 3/8 stud to connect existing wires instead of a 3/16 stud. They include a ring connector to connect to this stud, but not cutting off the original and attaching a new one makes the job…

Pros
  • Better than a fuse blowing and ruining the fishing
Cons
  • Crumpled
