Good quality product.

The product arrived without the original packaging. I assume it was sent back. However, the item was in like-new condition with no signs of wear or use. All parts and accessories were present. A very nice horn. Good quality; well built. The instructions for this horn were a little vague and a little intimidating. Once I got into it, everything went well. Take your time; Plan your activities in advance. They offer plenty of cables and hoses. You must be able to crimp electrical connectors. I'm…

These are loud! suitable for lighting and electrics

I was going to mount it where the existing horn was but the instructions said the bike's vibration would likely damage the tubes and void the warranty. I found a good spot on the down tube that doesn't interfere with the fender. I put the compressor on the crossover mount on the downpipes and had to lift the tank to get the wiring. The electrics fit nicely in front of the battery under the seat. Don't forget to sand off some paint to get a proper base, I had to remove the supercharger (pain in…

NOT FOR HARLEY-DAVIDSON

We bought these for our 2016 HD Road Glide. A horn sounded less than 200 miles later. We contacted Revane who emailed Speed Outfitters. We received an email from SO claiming that they "don't just rock", we replied and haven't heard from them since. We contacted Rivco and they really stepped up. They stated that this horn should not be installed on a Harley as this horn is not recommended for high vibration motorcycles. (The correct mount for Harley is AHHD). Rivco asked us to send them the…

Little building services required

The weak link in this otherwise good horn is the horn attachment to your bike. The kit includes a pre-assembled bracket made from a radiator clamp and a piece of scrap steel bent 90 degrees and painted black. If, like me, you pride yourself on the looks of your bike, this installation strategy is just not acceptable. My solution was to use the chrome mounting clip from the Kuryakyn footpeg kit I had lying around. I mounted this clamp on my Lindby road handlebars and then attached the horn to…

Loud horn, complex installation

Writing this shortly after completing the installation on a Yamaha V-Star 650: Plus: This is an attractive, very loud horn. It looks well made. It comes with plenty of mounting hardware and the instructions are pretty clear. Cons: The manufacturer recommends using the included clamp and bracket to attach the horn to the round frame member on the left. The clip slides through two slots in the mount and around the element. The horn is bolted to the bracket. Problem 1: The supplied clamp is too…
