High-Quality Raybestos Element3 EHT™ Rear Brake Pad Set for Lexus ES300h/ES350/HS250h and Toyota Avalon/Camry/Matrix/Rav4 Model Years (EHT1212H) Review

I bought these in November 2021, it's August 22nd and it's already on the tweet. I live in the country and drive on the freeway most of the time and these are the rear brake pads. Very bad quality.

Brake pads are really all about stopping the car and these hybrids excel in that regard. Unfortunately, they produce more soot than any ceramic or organic I've tried. While I can recommend them at $40, I can't say they're the perfect aftermarket solution.

I have to question the quality of these pads. They were matched with Raybestos Advanced Technology rotors and in less than 8 months and 13,000 miles the rotors and pads were seriously damaged. I can't tell what caused it and couldn't get any help from Raybestos tech support. I typically do 75,000 miles with stock rotors and ceramic pads.

Installed this kit on the back of a 2010 Toyota Camry. Its super easy installation. Please note the picture shows 8 shims, they are 2 sets of 4 and you must match them and use the ones that fit your vehicle. I have read the marketing materials for this range of pads and they are interesting. What I can tell you is that they are slightly better than the ceramic pads they replace but not as good as the semi-metal pads. Pads I have used in the past. You were right that this is the sweet spot between ceramic and metalloid. I just want the amount of brake dust to lean toward the ceramic side. It was always nice to have clean wheels when it came time to wash the car. Not sure I would buy these pads again

Installed on the back of a 2007 Honda Pilot after the EBC Green Stuff pads wore out. My first impression is that the stopping power is about the same as the EBC and the Raybestos still seems quiet, all at a much lower price. The supplied clamps fit the pilot really well. My EBCs have only done about 25,000 miles and left a lot of brake dust. Hopefully Raybestos will last a lot longer. I can't praise her enough. They have very good braking performance and they (and the rotor) wear out normally. Update: These pads wear out about 25% faster than other pads I've used before, but they affect the rotors very easily. I've only ridden about 38,000 miles with a set of these pads (typically 50,000 miles with a set of other pads in the past) but the rotors show very little wear. Installed these on my 2007 Acura TL. They came with brake hardware, which is a must considering the pads will stick if the hardware is dirty or rusty. I personally like the feel of semi-metal brake pads compared to ceramic pads, but I don't like the black brake dust that lands on my discs. Lately I've been using Akebono brake pads which are great but don't have the pedal feel that I like with quality semi-metal pads.
