Really RELIABLE device but gets hot and can't be used as a pass through charger

Two minor flaws I give this one but not enough to deduct stars.1. It's getting warm. My others don't get as hot, but this one is so solidly made that I don't think it affects the quality of the heat.2. You cannot connect to AC power and use the port to charge the laptop. Other than that, this thing is AMAZING! So many handy inputs and so far they all work great. I am impressed with this device and it looks like it will last a very long time!

High quality material, easy to carry

The USB-C hub is extremely convenient for computers using I/O like mine. Easy to carry and made of high quality metal. It lends itself well to using multiple USB sticks, which is important for my work. It also makes it very easy to connect my laptop to an external display. A very useful all-in-one tool that I recommend. Make sure you find a permanent place in your laptop bag.

Works great with my new laptop. Very reliable.

I really like this dock hub. I've just recently upgraded to a new Dell laptop and bought this docking station to connect 2 monitors, mouse, keyboard and many other accessories and it works very well. I was afraid it might not work like the original docks, but I was wrong. It's fast, reliable, and reads all USB ports with no issues. I am also very compact and travel friendly. Essentially a laptop dock

So I initially chose it for two HDMI ports as my laptop only has one and I need two monitors when sitting at my desk. But when it arrived and I looked at everything I had plugged in, I saw that everything plugged in except for the laptop's power cord (including a self-powered USB3 hub that supports multiple devices). So I tried it and it works great. Two HDMI monitors (actually TVs), KB, a mouse, a webcam, three external drives, a DVD player/recorder, a gamepad and I'm not sure what else…

Overheats after an hour of use.

The design looks very elegant and I wish it would work. It had all the ports I needed, but unfortunately it overheated significantly after just an hour of use. So it's coming back.

Modern design with good portability

I teach, so I take my laptop with me to show the presentation slides to the students. And this docking station supports 2 HDMI ports, 2 USB 2.0 ports, 3 USB 3.0 ports and SD card reader, which is a great combination of everything you need for daily office use and PPT slide presentation.

Works as described.

The description did not indicate whether the USB-C ports on the device can be used to daisy-chain additional Thunderbolt devices. You can not. One of the laptops I use it with only has 1 Thunderbolt port so I was hoping I could connect a Thunderbolt device to a hub but that didn't happen. Otherwise it works great for my use case.
