Not for long-term use.

For a starter relay this would probably be fine, but it is NOT safe as a battery disconnect relay or isolator. After about 2 minutes, the case gets unreasonably hot. (This is not a load, just coil activation). To the seller: This is NOT a battery disconnect relay. Stop mispromoting it.

Garbage with no guarantees.

The seller indicates that the field power is 4-10W. With a nominal voltage of 12 V, this is 0.33-0.83 A current. The block I received only had a resistance of about 4 ohms, resulting in a current of 3A, or almost four times the maximum advertised. It worked fine for about 4 hours, then the excitation coil circuit opened. The message to the seller regarding the warranty exchange remained unanswered. GARBAGE without guarantee.

Absolutely not a permanent magnet! FALSE ADVERTISING BY THE SELLER!

Can be used as a starter magnet, but under no circumstances will this magnet be in continuous service. Mine didn't have a return period as it took me 6 months to install it on the app I used it on. The seller should be forced to change the name and information on this product or remove it altogether!

It is best to buy a spare in Solenoids

I had to buy 2 spares. On initial install it looked good, felt good and worked 1 time before the main contactor shunted the high current contacts, didn't click, no power transfer. This delayed a multi-thousand project by about 2 weeks while I got another relay so I ordered 2 more to make sure I have 1 that is really good. a bit disappointed but for under $20 what do you expect?

Heats very well for starters and alternators

So far works as described but gets very hot after a few minutes. I've run it continuously for 8 hours on less than 100 amps and it still works. Only had it for a few days so that may change. My infrared thermometer reads about 250 degrees and gets incredibly hot after 15 minutes but still seems to be working. Update: He died a day after the original review. It got too hot regardless of the load.
