Unlike the picture, it has feathers.

I returned another brand as it had to pop and rattle. It has feathers on both parts. The corners are a little sensitive. I had to flex the shaft to get the correct side angle and the up and down angle was also important to ensure both grip and support. This can be a disadvantage when retrofitting with the original installation positions. The #12 screws fit better than the long #10 screws that came with it. It would be nice if the picture was accurate.

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Requires an outlet

Mounting holes don't work.

Hole spacing should be 1" x 2 1/4" to replace standard plastic blocks. Mine, in the larger size, was 2 3/8". If I installed this on a fresh install it might work, but not as a replacement. Apparently this was a very common problem - you would think the manufacturer would fix this would..Another problem is that the T-strap doesn't hook into the holder without some modifications. Shouldn't the manufacturer make a device that actually works? I'll use a different plastic door holder.

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Incredible value

Fastening material made of stainless steel NOT included!

I bought and installed two of these, one on my work trailer and one on our camping trailer when the cheap plastic failed. I love the stainless steel and the spring that keeps my hand from swinging. Should be the last to buy. THE ONLY flaw (and why not 5 stars) - STAINLESS SCREWS ARE NOT INCLUDED! Why why why? Why sell a stainless steel product and have standard hardware that will rust in 30 days? Of course I'm willing to pay you for a quality stainless steel product. Guess what?! I'm also…

Pros
  • Very good value for money
Cons
  • Large and bulky

It worked, but not as well as it could.

I installed this but it was very difficult as the receiving part has some sort of spring that the latch has to push and lower to hold the latch in place when the door is open. This made it difficult for the bolt to easily slide into part of the receiver and also unlocking was just as difficult and the angle of the bolt didn't match the receiver as it has to be precise with the receiver spring to be pressed and the angle is perfect for the Job. I ended up cutting off the receiver's spring…

Pros
  • Great Price
Cons
  • No Automatic

Not like in the photo. Can be used?

I bought this to replace a broken plastic T-bar on the front door of a 5 wheel camper. I wanted the metal to be durable and after reading the reviews I was even willing to adjust it due to the angle issue some reviewers kindly warned about. But the product received is not what is shown. I was expecting an extra spring holding the T-bar because I read about it in the reviews too. What I wasn't expecting was a metal hook sticking out of the receiver's keyhole (I uploaded some photos). As far as I

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Really don't like it, everything is fine
