Muscular, strong, correct geometry, looks great.

Very nice. Not quite carbon, its alloy is then coated with carbon, which is really what you need for strength. At first I thought they sent the wrong length but it really is 80mm. (50 year old male with short arms) The 17 degree true angle and shorter length allows me to stand more upright. The lower back can no longer withstand aero. What's the use of Aero if you're uncomfortable and your back hurts? Beautiful looks, couldn't be better for the price. Many Thanks.

No problem - works great for me

I put it on a road bike and put it on about 200 miles on medium smooth/rough country roads. Hit a few potholes every now and then. No issues with the stem squeaking/popping and it seems perfectly solid to me. The only caveat is that the handlebar grip is a bit flimsy, so I had to use a rubber washer to hold it in place without over-tightening the clamp bolts. Edit: The rubber gasket wasn't good enough. I ended up using spray glue to really fix it in place.

Works great with my Caad 12 road bike

Works great with my Caad 12 road bike. Needed a brace to take the pressure off my neck. Made a noticeable difference in the transmission of vibrations from the road. Worth the money for that alone. It used to be lightweight aluminum. It's about 7 grams heavier than my original Al. Root. got 90/17. Was 100/6. I bought titanium screws to go with it. The fit was great and the threads are great too. Drop 6 grams with screws. So the increase is only one gram. Not so bad :)

Be careful with this stem

This stem was mounted on a carbon mountain bike with RXL SL carbon handlebars. Tightened to the required 5 nm. Less than 30 miles later the shaft made a loud pop and this is the result. Cracks around set screws. I have used RXL SL carbon products in the past with great success but I am very disappointed with them. While I believe the structural integrity of the wand has remained intact (carbon coating on the metal), I cannot continue to use or recommend this wand, and I am still unsure of theโ€ฆ

Lightweight, durable and business-ready!

Light, strong and business-ready! First off, I should point out that this isn't all carbon fiber, it's carbon over aluminum, which isn't necessarily a bad thing! It's light and still gives you a lot of power. Thought the 17 degree angle was too big, but it was actually perfect for my needs. This stem exceeded my expectations and looks amazing on my Carbon Schwinn S20! In combination with the shiny carbon handlebar, it looks impressive! I'm quickly becoming a huge fan of RXL SL Carbon productsโ€ฆ
