Love this stuff in 3D printing filament

Love this stuff. Prints very well, finish is very good, has great strength, stiffness and layer adhesion when printed correctly. I would caution users with Bowden extruders or sharp-edged feed paths, but off the spool it is quite brittle as you would expect from a highly filled filament. I just hope SainSmart keeps releasing it to keep it available. The only thing to note is that the copper doesn't look like your typical plastic dye, it's plentiful so you'll need to floss and wipe off before…

Good print quality - no hand polishing or corrosion

All indications are that this is not real copper filament. It does not polish or corrode. Decent, but not worth the price per volume sold. Also the name of this product is misleading; "1KG" makes you think you will get 1kg, but in reality you will only get 0.5kg. UPDATE July 2019 - I would like to update my review. After gaining more experience with 3D printing and other filaments, my expectations have changed and I feel like I was a bit unfair with my initial assessment. For what it is, this…

Pros
  • Additive manufacturing products
Cons
  • Not as thick as other picks

I upgraded the hotend on my CR-10 just to print this filament. It brought me nothing but trouble. First, he clogged my nozzle 15 times. I kept dialing and eventually found a setting that didn't allow me to. I finally understood this thread and created an 8 hour print. It's been 5 hours, I'll check it out. Keep in mind that the hole in this spool of filament is so small it doesn't even fit in the CR-10 spool holder, so I had to use a ball bearing spool holder that holds the sides of the spool…
