Great Heavy Duty Trunk

After much research I bought this for my 2013 Ford Escape. The manufacturer's website doesn't actually list this for that make/model/year, but I've found a few review sites that show the trunk of a 2013 Escape. It was actually pretty easy to attach to the tailgate and seemed very strong. I drove it like crazy around my neighborhood, taking tight corners, hitting the brakes and stuff like that. My bike didn't seem to move. I've also taken it on much longer (and less crazy) trips. This is the…

Poor bike rack for adult bikes

This bike rack is ideal for small children's bikes with bars, but not for adult bikes. Most hybrid, dirt, or cruise bikes have a crossbar that slopes downward, so you'll need a handlebar adapter like the Swagman, otherwise the rear wheel will be high in the air and the bike won't be balanced on the rack. Also, the bars are close together (for small bikes) but don't provide enough lateral support for larger bikes. Also, I had to remove the pedal on the inboard bike as it would destroy the…

Stop looking - it's a bike rack!

I was trying to save a few bucks and bought a cheaper rack for about $60 from Sports Authority and it was a disaster. The fit was terrible and the strap holding the bike broke the first day I got it. I returned the shelf to the store and went online to find a "good one". Everyone had good things to say about the Saris Bones racks, so I went to Revain (as I'm one of the main suppliers) and ordered one. This is the best bike rack I've ever had! The fit is amazing, I can even open the trunk lid of

Accessories Crash

I was driving 70 mph down the California 55 last week and heard a strange noise. I looked in my rear view mirror and saw my 1 month old 2018 Santa Cruz Blur CC Reserve flapping in the wind. I was able to get over to the curb and found: - The heavy duty ratchet strap on the driver's side broke in half at the T-mount point on the support arm - This immediately caused the bike to flip back on that side and ripped the main ratchet strap out of the T- on the other arm shaped canal. At that point…

5000+ miles. 2 different cars. Highly recommended.

I have used this luggage rack for over 5000 miles traveling across the States. Most of that was spent on the 2010 Ford Focus, but now some of the time is being spent on the CR-V. Needless to say, I'm very confident that this thing will hold bikes fairly securely. I would recommend this pose or any other pose designed by Saris. I'm really impressed with its design and features. Installation is very easy and hard to mess up. The design is such that it is extremely difficult to fail…

Bought because I was told it would fit my car but it didn't. although sites like eTrailer list it as compatible. If you own a 2013-2015 Honda Civic Si Sedan, DO NOT buy this rack, instead look for the even more economical Saris Sentinel that will work and still give you USA made quality. Saris name. I would have returned it but I had to take a hacksaw across the top support arm to even put it under my stock spoiler so I could transport my bike in a pinch. $150 is wasted. Other than that this…

Fits Ford Fusion 2016

Very good product BENEFITS - 3 attachment points - 2 on top tube, 1 on seat tube - Sturdy construction with aluminum core - Not heavy - Easy to fit and attach to trunk - Nice design both folded and also folded. It doesn't take up much space. Independent support arms allow adjustment to the shape of the frame. The arms can be adjusted to the height of the bike so you don't have it too low to the ground or too high. A luggage rack with arms open or folded allows the trunk to be opened without…

Very difficult to set up and not reliable

This bike rack is well designed and I particularly like how the straps go through the hollow center so when the straps are tightened opposing forces are used to secure the rack to the car. This rack also received excellent reviews across the board, but after experimenting with fitting it to my car (Toyota Matrix 2010) it didn't work for me. With 5 moving legs, 6 straps and poor instructions that kept me wondering if it would fit properly in my car, I found it very difficult to work in practice.

A solid choice for the casual rider

This is my second bike rack I've bought from Revain; I returned the first one (Allen Sports Aluminum Folding 1-Bike Rack: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00C45GW8S). The other didn't work with my 2014 Subaru Forester despite claims to the contrary; this one does, and well. Things I like: The lower legs sit on my bumper, which makes the whole thing more stable than pillars where all legs rest on vertical surfaces. I have a loading sill protector on my Forester, so scratches don't bother me…
