What is NOT reliable

. This is normal with occasional off-highway use. But DO NOT buy for regular use and on the track. Only lasted 2 months before collapsing and dragging the bike down the freeway. Now you have to spend three times more money to fix the bike than this thing costs. I do not understand. it's garbage

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Not bad DO NOT buy

Not very strong Best Bike Rack

This is a good looking bike rack that is light and easy to assemble and comes in one piece. It didn't suit me at all, despite the many settings. My bike moved a lot over every bump. The design doesn't seem to prevent side-to-side movement no matter how tight I adjusted the straps.

Bought and returned.

I drive a VW Jetta and a Liv racing bike. I bought it thinking it would be great to transport my bike but I returned it without putting my bike on it. The instructions were simple and installation was easy, but I couldn't pull the straps tight enough. The trunk then goes almost straight up out of the trunk. This means that while transporting the bike, I damaged the bike's pedal and scratched the car. Sure I could buy the stuffing that Saris sells and wait for it to arrive knowing my bike pedal…

Far from ideal Best in Camping

Bought this stand for a trip. Installation and operation are very simple. But as soon as I got on the road, everything went wrong. The plastic straps that hold the bike do not fully close around the frame of the bike (Trek fx2), causing the bike to slide into the straps while riding. I solved this problem by adding a bungee cord on the way back, but I didn't have to. Although the cables were properly connected and routed to the car, 2 of the 4ft of the strut lost contact with the car for most…

Installed on a car with no problems

I wasn't particularly impressed with the quality until my father-in-law arrived and was very impressed. This is my first time buying one of these so I didn't think it seemed that durable as I thought my bike would move while riding, but it turns out I didn't protect it well would have. There's definitely something to learn here, but once you figure out that you have to rotate the pedal so you can get the bike close enough to tighten the belt, it's tight enough. I've also found that you can push

Does it work for accessories

I was keen to buy one of the hitch posts as at least two of my bikes are fairly heavily loaded - 40lbs+ but I found my trailer ball joint was damaged from salt corrosion and just wouldn't come off - she couldn't even pull the locking bar out of the pen. So I was faced with the task of transporting a 30 kg bike on something else. I have a Yakima roof rack fork mount for modern bikes, but the axles on my older bikes are the wrong size for me. The only option I was left with was one of these…

High performance, easy installation, good price

Purchased for use in a 2014 Toyota Corolla. Nothing to design as they are one-piece straps. My car wasn't listed as tested compatible on the Saris website, but it fits well and doesn't wobble or wobble after driving 3 speed bumps, city and highway for 30 minutes to the trail and 30 minutes back. another residential road route that includes >3 additional speed bumps followed by the first 3 speed bumps to park at home. It takes me 2-3 minutes to assemble/disassemble (rubber feet on side and…

Great base carrier with the best accessories

I bike to work and my son bikes to school. I've been looking for a bike rack for days when bad weather or other circumstances make it impractical to bike home and we need to be picked up. I specifically wanted something inexpensive, easy to install and use. Also compact and light if possible. This shelf can do everything. It is very easy to put on or take off the car. I have a 2006 Mazda 3 hatchback and the installation is very simple and straightforward: slide four clips into place and tighten
