Fantastic fit, finish and functionality*

Fantastic fit, finish and functionality. The only caveat is that while there's an indicator to confirm it's on, there's no one to immediately confirm the connection. Otherwise it would definitely be 5 stars.

Pros
  • Positives only
Cons
  • Some faults

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Ready to use out of the box

I was a little skeptical about compatibility at first as I had previously come across USB network adapters that claimed to be compatible but had to find an obscure driver package. online to get it working, but this one worked as expected on both OSX and Windows. I haven't done extensive performance testing as I only use it for network maintenance tasks. It offers a stable physical gigabit connection to the local network and that's all I need from it. Other plus points are the good build quality

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Appearance

Looks good, doesn't really work

It looks like original MacBook Pro hardware and looks well made. Unfortunately that doesn't work. This applies to the Satechi HDMI adapter that I bought at the same time. One reviewer called these products "Plug and Play" but I think they meant "Plug and Pray".

Pros
  • It's great
Cons
  • Slightly dented

That works great! good for computers and accessories

After connecting it to my son's Chromebook 15 it worked within seconds. I didn't have to do anything else. That works great!

Pros
  • useful for more than intended purpose
Cons
  • makes me nervous

Yes, vote, buy well on computers and accessories

A must-have accessory for a MacBook Pro that sits on your desk all the time. Ethernet is always faster than Wi-Fi, uses less power than when Wi-Fi is on, and the packaging and finish of this device is as close to a factory Apple product as you can get.

Pros
  • An absolute legend
Cons
  • Expensive insurance
