Schumacher Battery Charger and Maintainer Cable Connector - Quick-Connect Ring Terminal for Effortless Connection Review

Please note mine did not come with red/black wire but because black wires and loop ends were shrink wrapped red and black color coded ends. They were upside down/wrong. On the first connection I had a short circuit. Put a voltmeter on it to check. If you have color coded ends like mine, check before applying power. Problem solved by correctly applying black and red paint to ID +/-.

Good product. Fair price. Just pay attention to the polarity. When connecting to regular third-party cables, you will find that the positive and negative sides of this cable are reversed. What I did was use a black marker and paint the red heat shrink tubing black. You can also color it with paint. After checking, I painted the other side red. It was quicker than cutting the wire and using new heat shrink tubing and clamps.

This wire connector is 18" long (see volt batteries such as car or boat batteries (see photo). This connection is really very easy to install once you understand how. You simply remove the nut from the long bolt that holds the battery terminals in place, slide the cable connector loop over the bolt and tighten the nut. Haha it took me a while to figure out how easy it is as I'm not a mechanic. After reading this you now know. Now to charge/support the battery I just plug the cable connector into the Schumacher charger and plug in the charger. So easy.

Let me start by saying that there is absolutely nothing wrong with this, except that the terminals are small. This is the only reason for 4 instead of 5 stars.
