🚴 Schwalbe Tube Nr.17: 28/27 Inch Bicycle Inner Tube for Enhanced Performance Review

Beautiful tubes with metal valve stems fitted with lock nuts for attachment to the rim. I bought two of these for my daughter's bike with 700x40C tires and they fit great. Not too small and not too big as some reviews suggest. Just add some air to the tube before inserting it into the tire and it runs very smoothly. This also helps to reduce the possibility of hose pinching.

I ordered them with Presta waltzes (as pictured). The tubes I received were packaged in boxes with Presta valves, but the tubes actually had Schrader valves. I can always use them on another bike so I keep them to myself. But it's quite frustrating to get something other than what I ordered. Despite this flaw, the tubes themselves appear to be of good quality. Time will tell how they hold up.

I've found I don't fill up this tube as often as the others. And when I do, I love the valve stem! Have you ever had an issue where you tried to clamp the pump onto the stem and the stem just kinda got pushed into the wheel? Great handset and well worth the extra money. I threw away my existing lamps (which have been repurposed to onboard spares) that I bought here a few years ago due to their inherent porosity. I had to inflate my tires every day (up to 90psi). They lost about 20psi a day and I found no leaks when they were taken off.
