Installation nightmare

They came with no tools, just nuts, bolts, spacers and casters. I couldn't get the wrench deep enough between the grooves of the brace to tighten the nut to attach the training wheels to the bike. I went and bought a socket wrench, but even that didn't attract the mother enough. It keeps wobbling, throwing out the training wheels behind the bike. Finally, I used pliers and a whole block of sand to tighten the nut as tight as possible, then glued the strut in place. My hands ached and throbbed…

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Only available in black

Highly recommended!

EXCELLENT training wheels! My almost 7 year old son was gifted a 20 inch bike, he cannot ride as he has never shown any interest in riding. We tried the regular training wheels that we found at Walmart which although they said would work with a 20" wheel were too far off the ground and my son who is 4ft 2" and Weighs 80 pounds, unsupported. The wheels and for the price I knew they were worth it. You are unbelievable! I actually rode the bike to show my son how safe they are by rocking back and…

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • Long delivery time

Do you need training wheels - you found them!

My little one needs new training wheels. We found it. You are unbelievable! The first thing that struck us was the price, much higher than some other training wheels (which aren't as nice), but then we took a closer look. These wheels look like the wheels of a little monster truck! (Of course the name should have warned me, but in my defense I was just looking for "training wheels”.) My son turned around when he saw them! (Dad too.) He (my son. with dad) met the postman at the mailbox every day

Pros
  • High test results for grip and durability
Cons
  • Updates available

I did not receive the one in the photo, very difficult installation

The black braces I received did not match the picture. The lip of my bracket was pointing inward toward the bike rather than out, which prevented the stud from protruding far enough out of the hole to fit the lug nut with the silver bracket provided, which also didn't look like the one pictured. The silver strut also didn't fit into the frame, so it was completely sideways and unusable. We actually had to remove the wheel completely from the frame, leaving the silver brace and placing the black

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • Difficult to say

Didn't last more than 4 months with 4 years of use (under Β£50)

We bought this set from Revain and it came in Schwinn packaging and looked of decent quality. The bearings weren't very good and the wheels didn't turn very well, but we figured they wouldn't slow my baby down because they wouldn't always touch the ground. Installation was fairly easy, but I had to cut some of the plastic chain guard off her bike as the existing cut out from the old wheels (which the previous owner didn't have when we bought the bike) wasn't big enough. I don't blame the wheels

Pros
  • Slim design
Cons
  • Hard to tell
