Crash tested and approved!

Now that I've worn this helmet after a bike accident I can confirm it's a good helmet. I wore this helmet during an accident that resulted in a trip to the ER and had no head injuries other than a few scratches. I was so pleased with the performance of this helmet that I bought the same again!

Pros
  • This is great
Cons
  • I'll be silent

Disappointed Good for sport

Bought this item for my 5 year old about 4 months ago; that I still considered recently purchased. However, one of the plastic straps on the inside (that holds the foam or padding and shell together) broke off the helmet (it was probably glued on). I'm not sure if I can fix it or if I can be safe again? It's winter now so my son has only used this helmet a couple of times. His last helmet lasted a very long time (it actually outgrew it). This one doesn't seem very secure. I bought because of…

Inexpensive, looks good and prevents head injuries

I am definitely a road cyclist so I removed the visor and added black reflective tape to the top and sides. You can't see the tape unless there's a light on it, which I think is pretty cool. It goes well with the adjustable wheel on the back. It's easy to choose in a comfortable fit. I fell while carrying it and hit my head hard on the sidewalk. The helmet withstood the impact and I kept walking. I could easily have had a concussion, a severe rash on my face, and possibly a fractured skull…

Pros
  • Very good value for money
Cons
  • Expensive

After I made all the adjustments it fit perfectly. I've recently started cycling again and was very worried about a head injury as it's been at least ten years since I last rode a bike (and oh my god you might say since I crashed twice and while... almost got hit by a car for the first time (test drive). I know I had a lot of opinions about wearing a helmet as an adult since most adults in my area don't wear a helmet, but I didn't want to risk it. At least the helmet is cute. I have a big head…

Saved me from death or became a vegetable

This may have saved my life or at least my brain. I was cycling when a car did an illegal U-turn on a residential street and crashed into my bike, resulting in the handlebars hitting my collarbone and breaking it (had surgery to attach a metal plate). I remember falling off my bike and hearing a loud bang as my head hit the road. Without the helmet, I'd be a big bastard. I can't really comment on the fall damage (I'm not sure if it was caused by the fall or just normal wear and tear) but as I…

Saved my son thanks

My 9 year old son has outgrown his old helmet so I bought this one. Less than three weeks later, he put it to the test. He is a daredevil who loves speed. Driving down a hill he shouldn't have been driving, he lost control at 50 km/h and landed sideways on the pavement. He was briefly unconscious but was evaluated for a concussion in the emergency room. He's fine except for a rash. I hate to think how he would have fared with his old helmet or no helmet at all. The paramedic said the place…

True lifesaver, must buy!

I was in an accident today and this helmet saved my life so I'm coming back and writing this review. When I first came to the US, I didn't understand why everyone wears a helmet when riding a bike. Now I know. I drove down the hill and was very close to the car in front of me. I thought he was about to leave, so I didn't brake. But I was wrong. Suddenly he stopped and tried to dodge. My bike hit the back of the car and broke. My head hit the rear window. All I remembered was shards of glass…

The helmet was nice and light and had enough air in it.

I have a big head. I couldn't even put it on my head (and I ordered the largest size available). I noticed a small dial at the very back of the helmet. I did 1/2 turn and everything fit perfectly. The helmet was nice and light with plenty of airflow to keep your head cool. It took me a minute to figure out how to undo the strap so it wouldn't choke me (big head). Not sure if a black helmet can be a bit hot on a 90 degree summer day. I will update the results. I have been riding for over 40…
