Got a 2001 Silverado 5.3 in my Jeep. Install this launcher. it.starts perfectly. Excellent value for money and quality. Would buy again

Do not buy for starters and alternators

The starter was defective when delivered. It took me a month to install and found it was buggy. So I'm out when the reverse window. Save some money and go to your local auto parts store.

Starter gear won't work with too many teeth

This starter motor claims to fit my car but it doesn't, it had two teeth instead of 911. For some reason I'm not sure but it needs to be stated in the description

2002 Chevy Avalanche Fits

2002 Avalanche 5.3L. 4X4 Z71. The starter fits perfectly. It took a little wiggling to get the old one out, but it slipped out. I put a new one in and the engine cranks easily. Trucks start again!

In short, if you're grateful your starter is falling apart, pay the money and have someone put it in.

The starter fits and works perfectly on my 2002 Chevrolet Silverado 5.3L (199k on the odometer). Although I can't predict its longevity as it's only been a week since it was installed. I will say one thing, this launcher is a huge pain to install. It's not the starter's fault, it's GM's design to frustrate it by not having room to pull the starter out, our slide into the new one. Long story short, if you're grateful your starter is going bad, pay money and have someone put it in before it runs…
