Disgusting quality, impossible to use.

I started washing the filler and pouring it into the sump, as a result, 1 liter of foreign stones, what they do there is not clear for the weight, probably. And most importantly, lack of filler sleep minus 6 liters. I do not advise buying a bad product !

better just "best "

you won't find anything similar for biological filtration, 100g of it is equivalent to 500g of another substance, don't wait

Pros
  • fingers crossed for me
Cons
  • nothing

Helped balance the turtle tank + breed good bacteria!

I have an RES adult male that hasn't had a proper setup for a VERY VERY long time to be honest. I spent money to invest in him for the best rest of his life and it was very nice! I've been using it for about a year now and it has really helped grow the bacteria needed to keep my water levels stable and healthy. I haven't had to use it much either, although I'll probably be adding more soon!

while it works fine.

Much more in the container than expected! I got 2 for my three canister filters. Just over 1.25 liters. This is a natural stone so there were a few stones that I think didn't look like they were cast in the stone so I decided to throw them away. Just take off the lid. Surprised that their quality control is so weak that many black stones end up in a white product. Since I'm replacing biomedia in an already established tank, I'm doing it 1/4 at a time. So I do another 1/4 every week and a half…

A must for your biocarrier

I will only buy 2 biocarriers. This is one of them. I usually use it first, right after mechanical filtering. I do this because these pumice stones overlap and the water changes direction. It offers a final light mechanical filtering in case something gets through. Since it is a natural stone, it has many perfections and is very fickle. This is normal for me as it has proven itself as a biomedium and ultimate mechanical protection for the latest Biohome trays, which have great porosity and…

Well known, tried and tested filter media

This product is well known for providing beneficial insects with an excellent environment to grow and thrive. It's not too expensive so I bought some and put it in a bowl in my canister filter. Along with a bowl containing a combination of a bioball and a ceramic ring, it makes up the majority of my biological filtration, and a large coarse sponge pre-filter helps too. That should be more than enough to handle my 75 gallon tank. I also have a couple of mechanical filter sponges but I like to…

CLEAR WATER / HAPPY FISH

I have a 55 gallon freshwater aquarium with 34 fish. I have a Fluval 306 canister filter with media included. I regularly do 30% water changes weekly and filter cleaning weekly. My water was fairly clear at the front of the tank but looked like a brownish tint (no tannins) on the side. There were a few times where the side view was absolutely clear, so I knew it might be clear again! I've read that dissolved organics need to be removed from the water by water changes or filter media. Tries to…
