Suspicious. suitable for data storage

The disc I received is also listed as TERASCALE not EXOS but the model number and specs appear to match Sea Tools. Date of Manufacture - 2018. This drive is LOUD, easily 2-3 times louder than the Seagate 7200 RPM 2TB it replaced. Power on hours and life bytes written were listed as 0 in Sea Tools, but the drive had the date in the marker at the top of the label, leading me to believe the drive was used and the time counters were erased in the firmware. As loud and annoying as this drive isโ€ฆ

Terascale with same model number/No Seagate warranty/Still a good deal

What the website said was too good to be true; $170 4TB Exos Enterprise with $90 5-year warranty. I received a 4TB Terascale hard drive with no Seagate warranty. But the performance was so much better than the 4TB Barracuda drive that I decided to keep it. They have to be incredibly reliable, and to save $80 I'm taking a chance. However, there is no excuse for misrepresenting product information. Other reviewers have said that these drives are noisy and that's when the drive was running on aโ€ฆ

Must be some chia slices I heard about. 3 out of 6 drives failed in the first week. One of them dropped out within the first hour. We built an array with them on our server and failed health check after health check, even direct from Seagate. Absolute rubbish. If you value your time, order from another supplier. Apparently this is a big problem for Revain right now. I have ordered additional discs from another supplier. the ones with the egg in their name, and all of them Seagates workedโ€ฆ

The drive arrived as advertised and has the capacity described.

The EXOS drive must be Seagate upscale and have Seagate Secure features. The drive is fast and cool in normal use, but during the transfer of about 2.5TB of data that I was trying to back up, this drive can get so hot you can't grab it. In my case the drive was not in an enclosure (I only used cables to connect to the external drive connector). It has never failed during transfer even when heated so the drive is extremely durable. I have no hesitation in recommending it for another reason. Iโ€ฆ

Noisy & Clicky is the best in computers and accessories

The drive I received was first marked "TERASCALE" which made me wonder at first if I made a mistake with the hard drive would have. After looking up the model number in Seagate tools, it found the correct specs, but also had a few references to Dell, so I'm guessing that's where they came from. In any case, the hard drive works perfectly. My problem is the background noise. Very loud. If you have an external hard drive on your desk, this is what it sounds like. I have a quiet system in a quietโ€ฆ

Great drives, but expect Seagate warranty issues.

As most of you reading this review may be concerned I wasn't sure if these drives come with an official Seagate 5 year warranty or not as I've read mixed reviews about it seen and it all seems true. - in each specific case. So let me add my story to confuse you further(?). First, unlike other recent reviews, I received the correct Exos 7E8 4TB drives (not Terascale) that come in a plastic box (looks like it came from the factory). in a box. There is a small card in the box with a 5 yearโ€ฆ
