I use it for a pop up. but not for the boat. I use them to stabilize a trailer awning when it's windy, combined with a ratchet strap on each to secure each post to the ground. Buying a set of trailer awning poles is insanely expensive so I came up with the method above which works great.

I bought this to put up Christmas lights in my house. I didn't feel like lugging a ladder this year so I ordered this hook to see if it would make hanging lights easier. I was very happy with it, both when turning it on and when taking it off. I would recommend it to anyone who wants to use it for the same purpose.

Great little tool! I use this on the end of a telescoping rod to move things around the back of my hard topped pickup. Perfect for that! It's not broken yet, I've been using it for a month now. Heavy tool bags and water boxes on anti-slip mats are not suitable. Love it. If it suddenly breaks, I'll buy another one!

I have one of these in my motorhome for use with an extension that stays in the storage compartment. This is great for running water hoses, power cords from side to side under an RV (ie you park across from campground utilities) and for hanging cords.

I have been looking for a new hook to attach to the end of the extension so I can hang my Christmas lights. And so! I found these $15 Christmas Lantern Hooks to be REALLY boat hooks made out of red and green, not black plastic. This hook is durable. It is straight and screwed tightly to my power strip. He doesn't wobble. Turns out it will hold up pretty well.

my sailing limit is a small collection of kayaks so the boat hook was a bit of an odd purchase. The older I get, the harder it is for me to find objects that slide forward onto the bed of my pickup truck. So I decided to make myself a tool to help. I have this hook, a 1" dowel and a 15/16" horse 89925 cast metal threaded tip to connect them. I really enjoyed having this hook on hand to push and pull things around my truck.

Good, strong and reliable hook. I like the rounded ends, less damage to what I'm moving while crocheting. I use them on the ends of adjustable paint bars. I use a wheelchair and have limited access, but with a pole/hook I can easily move things, open/close a door, hang clothes on a rope, and get things out of tight spaces. I also attached the mini reel handles to the wand, but they are a bit sharp and sometimes do more damage.
